11 KU Scholars Visit Syracuse University During 2012

Eleven Kenyatta University faculty members from the Department of Educational Communication and Technology have each spent two months at Syracuse University observing classes, working with Syracuse colleagues, using the library databases, and attending and/or presenting at a professional conference. These scholar exchanges are part of the Kenyatta University-Syracuse University partnership project funded by USAID through Higher Education for Development. The visiting scholars are:

•  David Khatete – April 15-June 15

•  Adelheid Bwire, Agnes Gathumbi, John Kimemia – May 1 – June 30

•  John Maundu – June 24 – August 24

•  Henry Ayot, Ndichu Gitau, Sophia Ndethiu – July 1 – August 31

•  Nicholas Twoli – August 15 – October 15

•  Samson Ondigi – September 1 – October 31

•  Marguerite Miheso-O’Connor – September 15 – November 15

About Joanna Masingila

Joanna Masingila is Dean of the School of Education and Professor of Mathematics and Mathematics Education at Syracuse University. She was a Fulbright Scholar to Kenyatta University in 1998, and since that time Syracuse University and Kenyatta University have an institutional linkage.
